President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine is interested in opening “grain houses” in African countries – so-called food preservation hubs.
The head of state announced another initiative to support starving countries during a conversation with foreign journalists within the framework of the 3rd International Conference on Food Security “Grain from Ukraine”, this was reported on the website of the Office of the President.
“Ukraine wants to increase its presence in Africa not only politically. Of course, we are interested in the economy. Therefore, the task has been set, in parallel with the opening of embassies, to open new “grain houses” – so-called hubs for the preservation of various food products,” Zelenskyi said.
He emphasized that Ukraine is interested in developing bilateral relations primarily with those African countries that will be interested in this. “We don’t just want to fill ourselves with food products, we want to share technologies, processing, our land processing skills, and we also want to exchange experience with your countries,” said the President of Ukraine.
Regarding political cooperation, Zelensky noted that he has already signed orders to open ten additional embassies in the countries of the African continent.
“Seven have already been opened, three will be opened in the near future,” the head of state clarified.
It will be recalled that since the start of the Black Sea export corridor, 321 infrastructure objects have been damaged in Ukrainian ports as a result of Russian attacks.
