The Swedish government promises to finance the production of Ukrainian long-range missiles and drones

Sweden will allocate “significant funds” for the production of Ukrainian long-range missiles and drones, Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonsson said at a meeting with the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Rustem Umerov, in Stockholm’s Karlberg Castle on November 22.

“Sweden will soon allocate significant funds so that Ukraine can establish mass production of Ukrainian long-range missiles and long-range drones,” says Jonson’s page on the X network.

On November 19, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that next year Ukraine will produce at least 30,000 long-range drones at Ukrainian technological facilities. Also, according to him, the task has been set to make no less than 3 thousand cruise missiles and drone missiles.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Ukraine has been trying to increase its own production of weapons, partly producing them together with partners.

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Ukraine already produces 155-caliber ammunition, long-range and maritime drones. Also, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that Ukraine is embarking on “significant” volumes of production of artillery systems and armored vehicles.
