Experts of the Military Research Laboratory of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Examinations, together with specialists from the EU and the USA, underwent training on the disposal of explosive objects of a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive nature in Hungary. This was reported in an exclusive comment UNN in KNDISE.

During the practical training on a specially equipped test site, together with European and American experts, tasks related to the identification and disposal of improvised explosive devices were practiced. In particular, the synthesis of explosive substances was demonstrated. The experience of conducting controlled explosions, which were carried out at the landfill, became new, allowing for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of action of such devices and, accordingly, more effective decontamination

The Institute noted that modern realities require forensic experts to have in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the field of disarming improvised explosive devices.

“The availability of information about their production increases the risks of terrorist acts and criminal actions, which creates serious threats to the safety of citizens. This is especially relevant in the context of Russia’s military aggression against our state and the enemy’s systematic attempts to carry out sabotage measures in the rear,” the experts said.

The training took place in Hungary with the participation of representatives of Ukraine and EU member states, under the leadership of the Central European CBRN-E Training Center (CE CBRN-E TC) and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation.
