325 settlements in nine regions have been cut off due to bad weather – “Ukrenergo”

“The import of electricity will take place during the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova with a total volume of 7,408 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 817 MW in individual hours””, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org

As of the morning of November 22 in Ukraine, 325 settlements in nine regions were cut off due to bad weather; from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., measures to limit consumption are in effect in all regions, the press service of NEC “Ukrenergo” says.

“Due to difficult weather conditions – rain, sleet, ice and strong gusts of wind – 325 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Cherkasy and Kherson regions were cut off this morning,” the department said.

According to Ukrenergo, on Friday, November 22, “as of 5:00 a.m., the level of electricity consumption was the same as the previous day – Thursday. Yesterday, November 21, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the morning. It was 4.5% lower than the maximum of the previous day – on Wednesday, November 20. This is explained by the greater scope of the application of restriction measures.”

Energy experts also reminded that “in order to balance the energy system, hourly blackout schedules are in effect in all regions between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Friday. The situation in the energy system is changing, and changes in the application of restriction measures are also possible. You can find out the current schedule of outages on the website or official pages of the distribution system operator (oblenergo).

“The import of electricity will take place during the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova with a total volume of 7,408 MWh, with the maximum capacity in individual hours up to 817 MW,” Ukrenergo specified.

At the same time, the Ministry of Energy reported that “last day, power was restored for 46,374 consumers who were cut off as a result of hostilities.”
