“I am interested in how Ukrainians manage to resist the bombing, how Czech projects work on the ground and how best to direct international aid in the coming months. I will discuss all this here,” he wrote.
The Czech Republic has been actively providing military and financial aid to Ukraine since the first days of the full-scale war. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the country has given Ukraine military aid in the amount of about 400 million euros.
In May, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced that by the end of 2024, the Czech Republic plans to transfer 500,000 large-caliber ammunition to Ukraine.
At the beginning of October, the ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic, Vasyl Zvarych, reported that a third of the promised ammunition had already been delivered. This initiative includes the purchase of ammunition both within the European Union and outside of it. It was joined by 15 EU and NATO countries, which in total allocated 1.6 billion euros for its financing.
