Navy: Russia keeps 28 ships in the Black Sea, including 6 missile carriers

As of the morning of November 22, 28 Russian ships are on duty in the Black Sea, six of which are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

According to the report, the total volley of missiles on these carriers is up to 23.

“There are no enemy ships in the Sea of ​​Azov; in the Mediterranean Sea – two enemy ships, one of which is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 16 missiles,” the message reads.

Russia uses “Caliber” during massive strikes on Ukraine. In particular, their use was reported on November 17 during a combined strike on all regions of Ukraine.

On November 20, British intelligence said that since February 24, 2022, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had destroyed or damaged more than 25% of the main Russian warships operating in the Black Sea.

It is noted that after 1,000 days of war, Russia’s naval potential in the Black Sea was significantly depleted thanks to “highly effective Ukrainian operations.”

At the same time, British intelligence emphasizes that despite the fact that the Russian Black Sea Fleet is currently limited to the eastern part of the Black Sea, it retains the ability to strike from a long distance on the territory of Ukraine in support of land operations.

In June, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, said that Russia is hiding large ships and Kalibr carriers, but “the hunt should not stop.”

According to the Ukrainian Navy, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russian Black Sea Fleet has lost about a third of its ships due to damage to Russian vessels during Ukrainian strikes.
