The CIES football observatory published a report in which it analyzed the spending of teams on transfers for the period 2015-2024.
Six clubs of the English Premier League were in the top ten. The rating was headed by the London “Chelsea”, which spent 2.78 billion euros over 10 years. “Manchester United” took second place – 1.96 billion euros. The top three was closed by the French “PSG” – the representative of League 1 gave 1.9 billion euros to transfers.
Ukrainian football player Mykhailo Mudryk was also included in Chelsea’s transfer list – the player was bought in 2023 from Shakhtar Donetsk for 70 million euros.
Among the championships, the English Premier League confidently leads – teams spent a total of 23 billion euros. In second place was the Italian Serie A – 10.84 billion euros, the third – the Spanish La Liga (7.94 billion euros).
