The First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, took part in the opening of eight Ukrainian-language audio guides at the Vatican Museums.

These audio guides are unique – 19 hours of text voiced by well-known Ukrainians: artists, TV presenters, athletes and the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Vatican Andrii Yurash have been recorded.

“Works on the sound system were not easy – they were interrupted by air alarms and power outages in Kyiv. Between stories about eternal values, about artists and art, artists and sound engineers had to run to the bomb shelter. It’s a terrible contrast in which Ukraine lives now,” the first lady said.

In total, 93 audio guides are already working in 50 countries of the world. Olena Zelenska assured that this project will continue.

“For our compatriots who found themselves abroad on a difficult path. And for our language itself, because it has the right to sound and be heard. Thank you to everyone who wants to hear and hears Ukraine. Thanks to the Vatican, our Embassy, which worked on this for a long time, and everyone involved. Let art, history, culture, and spirituality be heard,” the President’s wife emphasized.

On the same day, the first lady transferred a selection of books to the Vatican library. They will form a Ukrainian bookshelf that will help to better understand Ukrainian history and modernity.
