Details: Martin said that “as a precautionary measure”, employees of the Irish embassy are working from home, and not in the embassy building in Kyiv.
Direct speech: “Consultations are currently ongoing between various embassies across Ukraine, but there are no plans to withdraw embassy personnel. This is a very cautious step, but it is clear that the situation is escalating, and we believe that Russia should end this war.”
What preceded: The United States urged its citizens in Ukraine to exercise maximum caution in connection with the risk of a major air attack by the Russian Federation. On November 20, the United States Embassy switched to remote work.
Following the USA, Spain, Greece and Italy closed their embassies for security reasons.
In view of this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine declared about “information incitement” and reminded that threats of shelling from the aggressor state have been a daily reality for Ukrainians for more than a thousand days.
