In the new harvest season, that is, from July to September this year, Ukraine exported more than 28,000 tons of frozen raspberries and blackberries, which is a new record for this period of the year.
This is 36% more than the same period last year and 45% more than the year before last, 2022.
This is stated in the message of the EastFruit project. It is noted that in the 2024/25 season, Ukraine continues to actively catch up with the world leaders in the export of frozen raspberries — Serbia and Poland.
“However, in order to maintain this position, Poland increasingly depends on the re-export of products, mainly of Ukrainian origin,” the report says. — “In addition, the increase in exports is taking place against the background of numerous reports from farmers about a decrease in the raspberry harvest in 2024.”
In addition to Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Austria, Belgium and Italy are among the main sales markets for Ukrainian raspberries this season.
And the first batches of Ukrainian frozen raspberries were sent to such important and promising markets as the USA and Canada.
And even Serbia, the world leader in raspberry exports, purchased a large batch of products from Ukraine in September, apparently for re-export.
