A popular Brazilian pianist under the pseudonym Lord Vineteiro with more than 7 million YouTube subscribers has lost access to 4 BTC worth more than 2 million reais (over $366 000). This is reported by Decrypt.
Fabricio Andre Bernard Di Paolo (real name) told X that he lost the paper with the seed phrase from the bitcoin wallet.
Perdi a senha da minha carteira de BTC. Acho que a empregada jogou fora junto com umas partituras velhas que doei pra um sebo do lado da Praça da Sé. Someone knows how to recover passwords from Ledger Nano X?

“I think the housekeeper threw it out with the old sheet music that I gave to the second-hand shop. Does anyone know how to reset Ledger Nano X passwords?” he wrote.
Later, the pianist shared a video of himself looking for a backup copy in his home library.
Foi só eu comprar 1 BTC (uma unidade) que a mágica happened. Eu estava há 2.8 anos sem comprar BTC. pic.twitter.com/4inTKXJFS7

“You have to find this paper or the house will collapse,” says the blogger.
The incident followed a series of bad investment decisions made by Lord Vineteiro, including buying bitcoin at around $70,000 and selling it at around $50,000. Additionally, he lost more than $30,000 investing in the later bankrupt Brazilian telecommunications company OIBR3.
A close friend of the pianist Luan Onofre discussed his friend’s financial failures in one of his podcasts. He also reported that Vineteiro was hospitalized due to stress with an unknown illness.
So far, attempts to return the funds have not been successful.
No Brasil nyumen ajuda nyumen. They just want…

“Many offered help, but all demanded upfront commissions. I even paid one guy who disappeared after receiving the money. In Brazil, no one helps anyone. They are all selfish. I don’t understand how this country isn’t bankrupt yet,” Lord Vineteiro wrote in a tweet on November 17.
As a reminder, in September 2023, YouTube blogger Ivan Bianco from Brazil lost funds from two cryptocurrency wallets and NFTs totaling ~$60,000 after displaying seed phrases from them during a stream.
ForkLog previously reported that the British James Howells has been searching for a hard drive on which 7,500 BTC was stored for several years. In August 2013, he accidentally threw it away while cleaning his office.
He repeatedly asked for help from the Newport city government and even offered $72 million as a reward for excavating the landfill, but was refused. Now Howells is ready to sue the city council.
