In order to keep their chances of promotion, the Ukrainians had only to win, as a defeat would automatically send the team to the C division. And they performed the task perfectly, opening the score in the 7th minute thanks to Oleksandr Zinchenko’s goal. In three minutes, Roman Yaremchuk doubled the lead of the Ukrainians.

Albania was able to respond in the 75th minute, when they received the right to a penalty and reduced the deficit to 1:2.

The match ended with a victory for Ukraine.

Thanks to this success and the parallel victory of the Czech Republic over Georgia, the national team of Ukraine rose to the second place in the group, which gave them a chance to continue the fight for the entrance to the A division of the League of Nations through the playoffs.
