Zelensky is confident in “adjusting processes” with Trump’s team

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, expressed his confidence in the “adjustment of processes” between the team of the newly elected US President Donald Trump and Kyiv. He stated this during a joint briefing with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, in Kyiv, Radio Svoboda correspondent reports.

Zelensky also confirmed the upcoming visit to the USA by the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak.

“I had contacts with President Trump. I understand only direct contacts between presidents. As for the team, they have their own contacts. As for setting up processes between our teams, I’m sure they will. As for the trip, the trip of my head of office to the United States – it will happen,” the President of Ukraine noted.

Donald Trump won the US presidential election, the change of administration and transfer of power should take place on January 20.

Zelensky said that he had a “great conversation” with Trump on the evening of November 6. Also, on November 7, the Ukrainian president stated that he did not know the details of Donald Trump’s plan for a quick end to the war between Ukraine and Russia. He did not discuss it with the newly elected president of the United States.

There are fears that Trump, after returning to the White House, will force Ukraine to give up territories occupied by Russia in exchange for a peace agreement.
