Russian troops are attacking Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast, two women aged 59 and 47 were injured in the shelling, Oleg Sinegubov, the head of the regional military administration, said.

“The Russian army has been striking Kupyansk all day long, in particular with rocket salvo systems. Private houses were destroyed, high-rise buildings, a civil enterprise were damaged,” he wrote in a telegram.

All emergency services are on site.

The day before, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi visited Kupyansk.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.

As of the end of October, the UN reported that it was able to confirm data on the death of 12,162 civilians in Ukraine and the wounding of 26,919 since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia. The organization emphasized that the real data could be much higher.
