Borrell hopes that EU countries will follow Washington’s lead in allowing the use of missiles over Russia

The head of EU diplomacy also called on the Europeans to continue military support for Ukraine, without waiting for the possible decisions of the US President-elect Donald Trump on this matter.

“The Europeans cannot be in reaction mode. They cannot sit and wait for what the Americans will do and then react. (…) We cannot wait for Trump to make a decision. Our support for Ukraine must continue. We will see what happens , we don’t know what will happen. But today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow people are fighting and dying.
