In his speech in the Verkhovna Rada, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced that one of the important points of the Internal Stability Plan of Ukraine is ensuring cultural sovereignty. For this purpose, it is proposed to create the format of a cultural Ramstein — a broad coalition that will unite experts and cultural figures to update the country’s cultural policy.
This format involves regular meetings of people who have a clear vision of the development of Ukrainian culture, understand the necessary solutions and have successful experience in their implementation. Minister of Culture Mykola Tochytskyi should present the details of this initiative.
The main goals of the initiative:
– Drawing up a calendar of cultural events to promote Ukrainian culture in the world.
– Systematic support of the Ukrainian cultural product at the state level.
– Development of cultural diplomacy to popularize Ukrainian narratives through art projects abroad.
– Creation of Ukrainian content that can replace Russian content, especially for children and youth.
The President emphasized that cultural sovereignty is not only a matter of stability, but also of security. Ukraine should actively invest in culture to resist the influence of Russian propaganda and strengthen its own identity.
The internal stability plan of Ukraine is interconnected with the victory plan. One of his points is the politics of heroes, Zelenskyy said earlier.
