The IT service company Intellias operates in the giant markets of the USA and India, but earns the most in Ukraine. Why so and what is happening now in the Ukrainian IT industry? Interview with CEO and co-founder of the company Vitaly Sadler

Ukrainian service companies are affected by the global recession. Could you outline whether there are signs of improvement and what trends are being observed?

Quarter after quarter, we expect improvement. There is no single sign by which it can be determined – now the economy has gone up and everything will begin to develop. We see that after a rather difficult 2023, the situation is now a little better. Clients start more projects. But the decision-making process is still very difficult.

In those projects where earlier there was a lot of money and the desire to invest in innovation, decisions were made in 3-6 months. Now it takes 6-12 months.

Now there are talks about the growth of optimism, but it has not yet been particularly converted into a real expansion of business and revenue for entrepreneurs. Many companies compensate for lack of growth through M&A. It helps to grow the business. At the moment, almost no one has organic growth.
