“We can confirm that the relevant Swedish authorities are investigating these events,” commented the Minister of Civil Protection, Carl-Oscar Bolin. “.
The Armed Forces of Sweden noted that they are also monitoring the development of events and communication with other allies.
Finland and Germany hinted in a joint statement about the incident that they suspected sabotage.
“A threat to European security is not only Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, but also a hybrid war by players with unfriendly intentions,” they said.
