The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine has developed a new procedure for international bus transportation.

About this reported Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.

“For more than a year, together with the market, we have been working on a new procedure for the organization of international bus transportation, and finally the corresponding order has been adjusted. In a few weeks (after the publication), the changes will enter into force,” the message reads.

According to the new rules, a digital procedure for opening a new international route and making changes to an existing route through the carrier’s online office is being introduced.

According to Derkach, with the entry into force of the new Procedure for the implementation of international transportation rules on the market, clear criteria for opening, making changes, extending or closing a route will begin to apply.

“For example, it will be possible to close the route at the request of the carrier, or if 50% of flights have not been completed within four months or there is no permission from another country. Here it is important that the border is not “idle”, so the network of routes should consist of those who actually travel.” , – said the deputy minister.

In addition, the requirement to have a certain number of buses to open a route will come into force – at least one main and one additional bus for five routes. This will prevent the situation where the same bus is used to open several routes, knowing full well that it will be impossible to complete the flights.

The requirements for the comfort of buses departing on an international flight have also been updated.

Moreover, it becomes a mandatory requirement that they have a GPS system.

For non-regular carriers, the registration and issuance of “Interbus” permits will work, for which work continues on an additional digital module.

We will remind:

International passenger carriers using the “Rava-Ruska – Khrebenne” crossing point with Poland will be able from November 7 cross the border according to the specific time (slot) booked in the system is Queue.
