Most of the city remains without electricity and water. Electric transport has not been launched in most areas
Apparently, Odesa has the worst situation with electricity generation in Ukraine. Although, on the one hand, we are already used to it, on the other hand, this is an unchanged trend from 2022. The situation was worse in Kharkiv, but not even now.
Both Shahed-136 kamikaze drones and Kh-59/69, Kh-22, 3M14 KRMB Kalibr missiles were launched in Odesa and the region on the night of November 17.
I will note right away that this is not the most massive strike during the entire time of the full-scale war, there were more powerful ones, but with lesser consequences, but this one turned out to be very effective. The port city, which is an important logistics hub, regularly finds itself under drone and missile strikes and without drastic changes in the issues of countering this terror.
The question of which year remains relevant
Actually, the question of which year remains relevant. An important rear city, not because I live here, but because that’s how it is, both economically and in relation to other points, does not have a sufficient range of means to counter the blows of the invaders. And we talked about this topic in 2022… in 2023… we continue to talk in 2024.
And how many world leaders and representatives of other states visited Odessa, some of whom even came under fire. Effect? A slight fright, dirty laundry and in general… everything.
However, 674 “Points of Invincibility” have been opened in the city.
In the coming days, the situation will improve, and electricity and water will come to homes, but the question, unchanged since 2022, how to protect an important port city from such strikes, will remain relevant and will surface during the next massive missile strike. Or do you think that the occupiers will stop there?
