In the Brovary City Veteran Center “Veteran PRO” they are actively implementing new measures to support military personnel and their families. In particular, trainings, various therapies and art events are organized here. As she told UNN head of the center, Tetyana Gordienko, an exhibition of children’s drawings “Power of Spirit on Canvas” is planned for the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“We currently have an art event called “Strength of the Spirit on Canvas”. Until December 6, the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there will be an exhibition. And from the photos, children will draw photos of our defenders. The exhibition will include drawings of active military personnel, as well as those who are in prisoners, those who were freed from captivity, our fallen heroes,” Gordienko said.

According to her, the students of the Brovary School of Arts draw portraits together.

“We want to make this exhibition for the whole city, we will invite everyone who wants to, there will be free entrance – we will open it on the eve of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we are already working on it. Now more than 30 portraits are already in the works. The exhibition will not be ordinary, because these are defenders through the eyes of children We really wanted to combine these two symbols, because our future depends on our defenders, and children – our present, so we wanted to emphasize this importance and to show that everyone is now on their own front, and even children try to express their gratitude through a portrait,” Gordienko said.

In addition, according to her, the first class on aromatherapy took place in the Brovary City Veterans Center, which was attended by the wives and mothers of military personnel. “We analyzed smells, aromatherapy itself, selected aromas, talked about soothing aromas, those that give energy, those that are used during some kind of pandemic or disease,” said the head of “Veteran PRO”.

Gordienko added that such meetings will become regular – once a month. “In December, we plan to launch the second such training on aromas. It will be about how to create an aroma. We will try to create the aroma that suits you with the help of essential oils,” she shared.

In addition, even despite the shelling of the territory of Ukraine by Russia, a community day “Diaries of stability of Brovarshchyna” was held at the veteran hub. During the meeting, participants described their own stories of stability.

A screening of the film “Women of Donetsk” is also planned in the near future.

Tetyana Gordienko also reminded that in Brovary there are also diving rehabilitation classes in which war veterans participate.

Let’s add

Earlier UNN told that the Brovary Veterans Center launched a project for free diving training for soldiers who lost limbs, family members of the dead and IDPs. Classes are held in the “Kupava” swimming pool and include theoretical and practical training.

We will remind

Earlier UNN told that the city government of Brovary is developing a program for 4-5 years to improve accessibility and comfortable movement of people with disabilities. In particular, the Brovary community plans to install special elevators for people with disabilities in multi-apartment buildings. According to Mayor Igor Sapozhko, this option is optimal for the community’s old multi-apartment buildings.

Adviser to the mayor of Brovary Olena Hakopyan said UNNthat all state institutions in Brovary are accessible to people with disabilities. All large shopping centers are equipped with ramps, elevators, and hygienic rooms for persons with disabilities. Various commercial establishments and organizations have become more and more often seeking advice to properly equip or redesign entrances to be accessible to people with disabilities.
