Tiberiy Silvashi is an outstanding abstract artist whose work influenced several generations of Ukrainian artists at once. From the first years of his creative career, Silvasy actively participated in the activities of the Union of Artists of Ukraine, led various artistic groups, in particular the association “Painting Reserve”, “Alliance 22”, Kyiv Non Objective, “Sedniv Plein Air”, etc. Silvasha’s paintings are exhibited in museums of Ukraine and abroad (Munich, Vienna, New Jersey, etc.), and are also kept in many private collections.

In September 2024, the retrospective exhibition “Circles of Tiberius Silvashi” was opened in the Ukrainian House. This large-scale art project covered not only the works of Tiberius Silvashi from different periods, his unrealized projects and archival materials of the artist, but also the works of 86 authors with whom he is somehow connected. The exhibition featured both little-known and well-known works of Silvasy. In particular, a blue pool, which is a replica of the well-known work “Painting”, appeared in the atrium of the Ukrainian House as part of “Kil Silvashi”.
“In the existential loneliness of a person in the world, art remains the only possibility to establish harmony. In such moments, existence is revealed as truth. And art becomes a tool for recording truth. And the exhibition is its presentation,” Silvashi comments on the exhibition.
