“Unfortunately, there is damage to objects from hits and falling debris. In Mykolaiv, as a result of a drone attack, two people were killed and six others were injured, including two children. My condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased. As of now, the areas are without power, all the necessary forces are engaged for liquidation of the consequences and restoration,” the head of state said.
Zelensky also thanked for the work of air defense – “anti-aircraft missile forces, our aviation – pilots of F-16s, “Sushoks” and MiGs, mobile fire groups, EW.”
On the morning of November 17, explosions were heard in several areas during the Russian missile attack. In particular, in Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and Cherkasy region.

After three o’clock, Russian forces launched 17 Tu-95 strategic bombers into the air. The invaders also took 4 missile carriers with 24 Kalibr missiles on board to the Black Sea. Around six in the morning, a rocket launch by Russian strategic aircraft was recorded. There was also a launch of Calibers from the Russian flotilla, and even later ballistic missiles from Feodosia and aeroballistic missiles “Kinzhal” from Tambov (RF).
Explosions rang out in Kyiv and a number of Ukrainian cities. Air defense forces were working. All over Ukraine, hits to infrastructure objects were recorded.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
