Since the beginning of the day on November 17, 134 combat clashes have been recorded. The Russian army continues its attempts to break through the defense of the Armed Forces in the Kurakhiv and Pokrovsky directions in the Donetsk region.

The enemy carried out a massive air and missile strike, launching 130 missiles, carrying out 61 airstrikes using 98 guided air bombs, and also used more than 700 kamikaze drones and more than 3,500 artillery strikes against the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
The situation in directions
Kharkiv direction: 10 combat clashes took place, of which 5 attacks were repulsed near Staritsa, 4 near Vovchansk, 1 attack was stopped near Visoka Yaruga.
Kupyan direction: the enemy tried 10 times to dislodge our units from positions near Kucherivka, Kruglyakivka, and Kolisnikivka. Fighting near Zagryzovo continues.
Lyman direction: during the day, the enemy tried to advance 7 times in the directions of Tverdokhlibovo, Grekivka, Terni and Cherneshchyna, but all attacks were repulsed.
Seversky direction: our troops repulsed the enemy’s attack near Verkhnokamyanskyi.
Kramatorsk direction: the enemy was active near the settlement of Bila Hora, but retreated after suffering losses.
Toretsk direction: Russian troops twice tried to break through the defense of the Armed Forces near Toretsk and Shcherbinivka. Both attacks were repulsed.
Pokrovsky direction: the enemy continues active attempts to advance in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Lucha, Lysivka, Krutoy Yar, Yurivka, Hryhorivka, and Petrivka. The Armed Forces repulsed 23 attacks, 5 more battles are ongoing. Enemy losses — 251 people, 2 tanks, 10 units of motor vehicles were destroyed.
Kurakhiv direction: recorded 35 combat encounters. The occupiers continue their attempts to advance in the areas of Novaya Ilyinka, Berestkiv, Voznesenka, Solntsivka, Zori, Maksimilianivka, Dalniy, Kurakhovo, and Antonivka. 20 attacks repelled. The enemy lost 128 people, 2 tanks, 1 BMP, 2 vehicles, 2 motorcycles, and 1 mortar were destroyed.
Time direction: 4 combat clashes took place in Trudovoy and Rozdolivka districts. Three battles are ongoing.
Orihiv direction: during the day, the defenders repelled one attack near Novoandriivka.
Dnieper direction: the Ukrainian military repelled the attacks of the Russian invaders four times.
