Athletes took part in a sprint. The Ukrainian national team was represented by nine athletes.

Anton Dudchenko performed the best among Ukrainians. The biathlete, having one miss on the firing range, took the sixth place. Immediately behind him were other representatives of Ukraine, Bohdan Borkovskyi (7th) and Vitaly Mandzin (8th).
Other Ukrainian athletes finished outside the top ten: Denys Nasyko (17th), Artem Tyshchenko (18th), Taras Lesyuk (20th), Bohdan Tsymbal (22nd), Ruslan Tkalenko (26th), Serhiy Suprun (39th).
The winner of the sprint was the Swedish biathlete Sebastian Samuelsson. It took him 26 minutes and 38 seconds to collect the award. His compatriot took the second step Jesper Nelynthe bronze was won by the representative of Estonia Rene Zahkna.
