Italian tennis player Matteo Berrettini (ATP 35), began working with Umberto Ferrara, a former fitness coach Yannick Sinner. This was reported by Corriere della Sera.
In August, it became known that in March, Sinner passed two positive doping tests for the drug Klostebol. However, a disqualification was avoided: the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) determined that contaminated samples were the cause. Clostebol got into the tennis player’s body through a spray that physiotherapist Giacomo Naldi used to treat a cut on his finger.
According to the ITIA report, Ferrara purchased this spray in Italy. Following the incident, Sinner dropped both Naldi and Ferrara from his team.
