It is noted that the delegation of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, led by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anatoly Klochka, took part in a meeting to discuss the deployment of the NATO-Ukraine Joint Center for Analysis, Training and Education (JATEC), which was held in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz. The participants of the meeting discussed the action plan necessary for the creation of the Center and confirmed the intention to open it in early 2025.
The center will help Ukraine to integrate into the structures of the Alliance, promote the exchange of experience between the parties and the search for solutions to strengthen the defense capabilities of Ukraine and NATO,
They also discussed the creation of an information and communication system that will allow organizing interaction and secure data exchange between Ukraine and NATO. Ukraine will be the first partner country with which the Alliance will create such a secure system. The parties agreed on a list of the first urgent projects, which the Center will begin its work with.
On behalf of the Alliance, the event was attended by NATO Assistant Secretary General Thomas Goffus, NATO Commander-in-Chief for Transformation Admiral Pierre Vandieu, NATO Information and Communication Agency General Manager Ludwig Decamps and NATO Senior Representative in Ukraine Patrick Turner.
JATEC is created within the framework of the implementation of the decisions of the Washington Summit of the Alliance. This will be the first joint institution of Ukraine and NATO.
