Two lighting projectiles landed on the territory of the residence of the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu in the city of Caesarea.
This was reported by the Times of Israel, citing data from the police and the Israeli security service SHABAK.
“Two flares fired at Prime Minister Netanyahu’s private residence in Caesarea landed in the yard. No damage was recorded… At the time of the incident, Netanyahu and his family were not in the house,” the police and SHABAK said in a joint statement.
No casualties have been reported.
The publication also noted that the police and SHABAK have launched an investigation and named the incident “a serious event that indicates a dangerous escalation.”
