On Saturday, November 16, at one of the training centers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, the first group of volunteers of the “Ukrainian Legion” took the Military Oath of loyalty to the Ukrainian people. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, writes UNN.

Taking the oath is one of the most important and solemn events in the life of a serviceman. For the volunteers of the legion, this moment is special, because their decision to defend Ukraine is conscious and decisive. The unit is formed from highly motivated soldiers for whom protecting the Motherland from an aggressor is a matter of honor,

Details

It is noted that currently the servicemen have started an intensive course of training, which includes fire training (in particular elements of CQB – Close-quarters battle), tactical medicine, mine safety, topography and other necessary disciplines. Training is conducted by experienced Polish instructors.

The first group of “Ukrainian Legion” volunteers signed contracts in Lublin and began 35-day basic training. The recruiting center received about 700 applications from Ukrainians from various European countries.
