“We are united in our joint efforts to contribute to the struggle for its sovereignty, freedom, independence, territorial integrity and reconstruction,” the statement emphasized.

The leaders stressed that after 1,000 days of war, they recognize “the enormous suffering endured by the people of Ukraine.”

“Despite these difficulties, Ukrainians have demonstrated unparalleled resilience and determination in protecting their land, culture and people,” the document emphasized.

The G7 leaders also added that Russia remains the only obstacle to the restoration of a just and lasting peace and confirmed their readiness to continue pressure on the Russian Federation through sanctions, export controls and other measures that cause significant economic losses to it.

We will remind, on November 14, the European Commission approved the allocation of 4 billion euros of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the form of grants and loans within the framework of the Ukraine Facility program.

President of Latvia Edgars Rinkevičs, Speaker of the Diet Daiga Mierinja, Prime Minister Evika Silinja and Minister of Foreign Affairs Baiba Braje called on Latvians, as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine, to honor the memory of those who died as a result of the Russian invasion on November 19 with a moment of silence and light candles.
