Details: The Japanese publication notes that Iwaya arrived in Ukraine for talks with officials, apparently to demonstrate Tokyo’s commitment to Kyiv in its fight against Russian military aggression, which now includes North Korean troops.
After attending a regional economic meeting in Peru, Iwaya arrived in Ukraine and became the first Japanese minister to visit the country since Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba took office last month.
After arriving by train from Poland, Ivaya intends to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiga on Saturday, and later, according to a ministry representative, he may hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
We will remind: Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Yoko Kamikawa, visited Ukraine in January of this year.
