Verbatim police: “In July 2022, the man wrote on his page that he had the opportunity to purchase 5 foreign-made mortars with a total cost of about 3.5 million hryvnias. He justified the urgency and importance of the collection by the fact that they would help the military in the battles near Izyum.

As the National Police investigators found out, the man kept a certain part of the funds for himself. We are talking about at least 350 thousand hryvnias appropriated from the fees.
This is evidenced by the movement of funds on his private card accounts, to the data of which law enforcement officers obtained authorized access during the investigation.”
Details: According to the sources of the UP, we are talking about Vladyslav Sorda, who was previously accused in social networks of misappropriating funds collected for the needs of the military.
According to the investigation, he organized meetings for the supply of weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles for one of the military units of the Armed Forces. The prosecutor’s office reported that the man took possession of more than UAH 357,000.
The police found Sord in Vinnytsia at his place of residence and announced that he was suspected of fraud committed during martial law, which caused significant damage to the victim (Part 3 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code). Law enforcement officers searched the suspect’s place of residence.
At present, he has been served with a petition to select a preventive measure – detention.
What happened before: Earlier in the network, Sord was accused of opening a collection of 3.5 million hryvnias for 5 mortars for the “Seneca” unit of the 93rd brigade, but did not report on them, which he never purchased.
After promising to “tell the whole story,” the soldier admitted that he had spent the money “on other needs of Seneca.”
Later, testimonies of various people who complained about Sord and suspected him of fraud began to appear in various social networks.
We will remind:
- Vladyslav Stafiychuk-Granetskyi (Vlad Sord) is a veteran and co-founder of the publishing house “House of Khymer”.
- In 2021, Sorda was detained after breaking windows under the President’s Office building during a rally in support of activist Serhiy Sternenko.
- During one of the broadcasts on television, Sord said that when he was treated in the Mechnikov Hospital after being wounded in Ilovaisk, he was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. He showed the award and named the number of the order. At the same time, in April 2021, the court fined Sord for illegally keeping the order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. In the decision, according to Sorda, it is reported that he received the order from an unknown man. The court recognized that Sord kept the order illegally and confiscated it.
