Detectives of the Territorial Administration of the Bureau of Economic Security in Kyiv exposed a large-scale scheme of illegal online gambling and betting.
According to the press service of the BEB, the organizers used P2P transfers to bank cards issued to fake persons (drops) to disguise funds received through specially configured payment systems on websites.
They also set up automatic replenishment of game accounts, bypassing user identification and masking transactions with drop bank cards, transferring money to cryptocurrency, including stablecoins like USD Tether.
During searches in Kyiv, Poltava, Kharkiv and Odesa regions, more than 100 bank cards, 100 mobile phones with banking applications, cash, cryptocurrency, as well as premium cars (AUDI Q8, BMW X7) were seized. Reports of illegal activity, logins and passwords to bank accounts were also found.
