The 72-year-old newly appointed coach of the Italian “Roma”, Claudio Raniera, commented on the situation with Mats Hummels, who played a little more than 20 minutes under the leadership of Ivan Yurich.
“I don’t understand what happened here at all. I took the time to watch the team’s previous games, and I ask the question: Why can’t Mats play in this team? How is this possible?
Hummels never started a game under Jurych. 23 minutes is all he played after moving to Roma. This is not normal for a player with such experience,” football insider Fabrizio Romano quotes Ranieri.
