“In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units in the area of Tykhi and Vovchansk four times in vain. At the same time, the enemy aircraft attacked the village of Slatine with two aerial bombs. In the Kupyansk direction, the aggressor carried out offensive actions near Golubivka, Petropavlivka, Pischany, Hlushkivka, Zeleny Gay, Zagryzovy, Kruglyakivka, Pershotravnevy, and Lozova. Ukrainian defenders stopped all ten enemy attacks,” the military said.
In addition, it is known that “in the Lymansk direction, Russian invaders attacked the positions of the Defense Forces near the settlements of Katerynivka, Druzhelyubivka, Nevske, Terny and Torske nine times. Also, in this direction, the enemy struck with attack and bomber aircraft in the area of the Serebryan Forest.”
“On the Siverskyi direction, our defenders repelled two assaults by the occupying troops in the direction of Verkhnyokamyanskyi. In the Kramatorsk direction, with the support of aviation, the enemy stormed our positions near Predtechny. The defense forces stopped all attacks by the invaders,” the General Staff clarified.
At the same time, “in the Pokrovsky direction, from the beginning of this day, the enemy attacked in the areas of Promin, Lysivka, Sukhy Yar, Pushkine, Zhovte and Pustinka settlements. Our defenders have stopped 18 assaults of the enemy, five more clashes are still ongoing.”
“Today, according to preliminary data, more than 300 occupiers were neutralized in this direction, 144 of them – irreversibly. One mortar, 11 vehicles, three motorcycles and one radio electronic warfare trench station were also destroyed. In addition, one tank was damaged,” says the operational summary of the General Staff.
Russian President Vladimir Putin calls the full-scale invasion a “special operation.” Initially, its goal was defined as “demilitarization and de-Nazification”, later – “protection of Donbas”. And in September and early October, Russia made an attempt to annex the partially occupied Zaporizhia, Kherson, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions. Ukraine and the West have declared that these actions are illegal. On October 12, the UN General Assembly approved a resolution condemning the Russian Federation’s attempt to annex the occupied territories of Ukraine.
The Russian authorities say that the army does not attack civilian objects. At the same time, Russian aviation, missile forces, navy and artillery shell Ukrainian cities every day. Residential buildings and objects of civil infrastructure throughout the territory of Ukraine are subject to destruction.

Since September 2022, fierce battles of the Russian-Ukrainian war have been going on in the east and south of Ukraine.
