41-year-old boxer. Super heavyweight can become a mandatory contender for the title

A fight for the status of a mandatory contender for the IBF super heavyweight title between Martin Bakole and Agit Kabayel was soon to take place.

It became known that Kabael refused the fight, and Bakole’s opponent should be the 41-year-old Chinese boxer Zhang Zhilei, who follows Bakole and Kabael in the IBF ranking.

The belt is owned by Daniel Dubois, who was ordered by the IBF to defend the title until April 22.

At the same time, there is an option for which DuBois will fight for the status of mandatory contender against the winner of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury in the first half of 2025.
