Former Barcelona and Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta has become the majority shareholder of the Helsinger club, which plays in the third division of Denmark.

Iniesta told the Danish TV channel TV 2 that he and his company Never Say Never (NSN) acquired a controlling stake in the Danish club in cooperation with the Swiss company Stoneweg.

It is also noted that Iniesta will be present at the team’s next match on Friday. The club is currently seventh in the standings after 15 rounds with 19 points.

Helsinger was founded in 2005 and the best achievement is reaching the elite division of the Danish championship in the season-2016/17.
