Details: The Second Western District Military Court sentenced five members of the “Russian Volunteer Corps” (RDK), fighting on the side of the Armed Forces, to life imprisonment in the criminal case about the invasion of the Bryansk region. The sentence was passed in absentia.

Kapustin was fined 2.5 million rubles. Oleksandr Galanov, Anton Zyryanov, Kyrylo Kanakhin and Oleksiy Ogurtsov are also accused in the case – the court also sentenced them to life imprisonment with fines of two million rubles each.

For Denys Kapustin and Kirill Kanakhin, this is the second life term in Russia. Before that, they were already convicted in absentia in the case of treason.

What preceded:

On May 22, 2023, fighters of the “Russian Volunteer Corps” entered the territory of the settlements of Lyubimovka and Churovychy, Bryansk region of the Russian Federation.
