The draft budget for 2025 preserves the reverse subsidy in the budgets of regions that are close to the contact line.
Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba reported this in Telegram.
“At a meeting chaired by the President of Ukraine, together with representatives of the government and the Verkhovna Rada, they discussed the main indicators of the draft state budget for 2025. It was decided to keep the reverse grant in the budgets of the front-line communities,” the message reads.
According to Kuleba, the government approved the project of the state budget of Ukraine for 2025, which provided for the redistribution of UAH 14.9 billion of reverse subsidy in order to support the de-occupied and front-line communities in particular.
In addition, the state additionally allocates UAH 37.5 billion for communities that have been negatively affected by Russia’s full-scale armed aggression.
The Deputy Prime Minister called such decisions fair and necessary for the people who are now ensuring their livelihood in the most difficult conditions of the war.
“I separately express the position of the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories that 64% of personal income tax should be kept in communities. It is also important to support the capacity of people on the ground,” Kuleba added.
We will remind you that the Pension Fund of Ukraine completed the financing of pensions for October 2024, sending a record amount of 64 billion hryvnias. Of these, 54.5 billion hryvnias were paid through authorized banks, and 9.5 billion hryvnias through Ukrposhta.
Earlier we wrote that the Verkhovna Rada supported the amendment to cancel the 37% salary increase for prosecutors.
We will also remind you that in 9 months of 2024, the state spent almost 88 billion hryvnias on special pensions. By the end of the year, this amount will be almost 120 billion.
