On January 15, the Shevchenkivsky District Court of the city of Kyiv will begin consideration of the merits of the case on the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation based on the lawsuit of the owner of BFC “Gulliver” Viktor Polishchuk against the Agency for Search and Asset Management due to the statement of its head Olena Duma about the alleged Russian connections of the businessman. Viktor Polishchuk appealed to the court with a claim against ARMA for the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation. In the comment UNN the businessman explained that such a step was forced due to the public statement of the head of the agency Elena Duma that he and his wife had “close relations with the Kremlin leadership”. Polishchuk emphasized that this information is fictitious and does not correspond to reality.

The head of ARMA Olena Duma in response to a request UNN explained that she accused Polishchuk and his wife of connections with the “Kremlin elite” because she saw such information in the mass media.

The court initially set a hearing for October 10, but the defendant’s lawyer failed to provide a document confirming that he has the authority to represent ARMA in court. Therefore, the meeting was postponed to November 14.

Today, the court session finally took place. Representatives of Viktor Polishchuk and ARMA reported that, having fully familiarized themselves with the materials of the case, the court decided “to close the preparatory court session and appoint the case for consideration on the merits.” The first meeting is scheduled for January 15.
