In occupied Crimea, rail freight transportation between the peninsula and the occupied part of the Zaporizhia region was stopped due to the collapse of the road bridge on the Dzhankoy-Maslovo road. This is reported by the Russian agencies TASS and RIA Novosti with reference to the Ministry of Transport of Russia.

Railway traffic is promised to be restored within a day. In addition, traffic was stopped on the section of the Solone Ozero-Dzhankoy road.

On the evening of November 13, it became known about the collapse of the bridge, which is located over the railway tracks on the Dzhankoy-Mamut section. The Russian administration of the Dzhankoy district reported that the bridge could not withstand the weight of a heavy truck. At the time of the collapse, in addition to the truck, there was a car on the bridge. Two people were injured and hospitalized.

The restoration of the destroyed road bridge will take 3-4 months and will require 180-200 million rubles, the authorities of the occupied Crimea said. The works will be carried out in 2025, said Serhii Aksyonov, the head of the peninsula appointed by Russia.
