“Our specialists have already discovered the first assets of the participants in the case: 3 objects of residential and non-residential real estate, 4 plots of land and 2 vehicles. We are also waiting for answers from banking institutions regarding the availability of accounts and funds for them,” said ARMA Deputy Chairman Pavlo Velikorechanin .
According to the investigation, officials of the former Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine artificially created obstacles to the implementation of the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution on the operation of gas distribution systems, contributing to the evasion of payment for the use of state property.
As a result of these actions, the state budget did not receive UAH 1.49 billion in the period from May 2017 to December 2020.
It is noted that all information about the assets was transferred to the pre-trial investigation body for the seizure of the identified assets with their subsequent transfer to the ARMA department.
