Demining machines play a key role in the process of clearing an area of mines and other explosive objects.
They can clear large areas in a short period of time, significantly speeding up the demining process compared to manual labor.
Thanks to remote control, they minimize the physical contact of people with mines, significantly reducing the risk of injury or death of sappers.

In Ukraine, the production of machines of various types for demining territories has started, and some of them are already being used in practice.
In February 2024, the third model of the domestic demining machine was presented. It was developed and created by a private Ukrainian company together with Sumy manufacturers of agricultural machinery.

In addition, the production of the Croatian demining machine, which is assembled in Ukraine, was partially localized. It was tested on areas with dense vegetation and on three types of soil — sand, gravel, and chernozem.
The lightweight robotic demining and explosive ordnance disposal machine is resistant to anti-personnel mine detonations and unexploded ordnance detonations due to its low profile and robust design, and can withstand an anti-tank mine explosion.
In an hour, the machine can demine an area of up to 1,500 square meters. It is controlled by a remote control, the range of which is up to 1500 meters. In total, there are 300 such Croatian systems operating in the world, and in Ukraine, specialists of the State Emergency Service work on them.
In the first year of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Ukraine also purchased a British-made machine that can clear more than 2,400 square meters of territory per hour. It is considered one of the most effective demining machines.
One of its features is the possibility of remote control, which allows you to work at a distance of 800 meters. This feature keeps operators safe by allowing them to remain at a distance while maintaining full control over the machine’s functions.
You can also drive the car manually – in the middle of the armored and soundproof cabin.
