Details: In the public part of the speech before Republicans, Trump “thanked everyone” for a good result in the presidential and congressional elections.

As the press were ushered out of the room, Trump joked, “I suspect I’m not going to run again unless you do something else, unless you say, ‘He’s so good, we’ve got to come up with something.'”

We remind you that according to the US Constitution, presidents can be elected for only two four-year terms – both consecutively and with breaks.

Trump’s meeting with Republicans took place before the US president-elect arrived at the White House, where he was hosted by Joe Biden to discuss the transfer of power.

At last count, the Republican won 312 electoral votes in the Nov. 5 presidential election, short of the minimum required 270.
