In this year’s NBA season, the prize fund for winning the Cup has been increased. If last year each player received 500,000 dollars for a victory, now this amount has increased to 515,000.
According to journalist Jeff Zilgit, the prizes for the Cup finalists, semi-finalists and quarter-finalists have also been increased.
Thus, the players of the team that loses in the final will receive $206,000 each. Semi-finalists – 103 thousand, and quarter-finalists – 51.5 thousand.
The increase in the prize fund is due to a significant increase in the income of the league itself.
