Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva met with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia Mark Stutsin.
During the meeting, they discussed support for Ukraine, the implementation of the Peace Formula and the Victory Plan proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Ihor Žovkva thanked Slovenia for political, humanitarian and economic assistance, and also emphasized the importance of working together to achieve a just and lasting peace.
The key topics of the conversation are joint efforts to ensure the unity of the member states of the European Union in matters of support for Ukraine, as well as the continuation of the sanctions policy against the Russian Federation.
“Slovenia actively supports Ukraine and is an important partner in promoting the Peace Formula. It is important that the EU remains united in its support for Ukraine, because this is a key factor in our victory,” Ihor Zhovkva said.
The deputy head of the President’s Office also noted a stable position in support of Ukraine’s membership in the EU.
Ihor Zhovkva and Mark Stutsin discussed the progress in the negotiations regarding the completion of the bilateral screening within the first “Basics” cluster, as well as the expectation of the opening of this cluster during the Polish EU presidency.
The deputy head of the President’s Office emphasized that it is important to continue an active dialogue between Ukraine and Slovenia, as well as to exchange experience in matters of security and post-war reconstruction.
