Former French national team player Bixent Lazarus told why the leader of Real Madrid Kylian Mbappe were not called to the national team for the upcoming matches of the League of Nations:

“Kilian wanted to come and play for the national team, but he was not allowed to do that. These are sanctions or punishments from the head coach.

Last time Kylian said he was injured and then played for the club and even had a holiday in Sweden. Deschamps did not understand such an act and decided to punish the player. The coach decided to show that it should not be done that way,” said Bixent.

The French team has 9 points in Group 2 of Ligue A and is only one point behind the first place. Deschamps will play against Israel (November 14) and Italy (November 17). The match with the Italians is likely to be a battle for first place.
