Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur, reports UNN with reference to the Office of the President.

“We are very grateful to your team, the country, your people for the significant support since the beginning of the full-scale war,” the Head of State said.

Zelensky thanked Estonia for its leadership in allocating 0.25% of the country’s GDP for Ukraine’s military needs, which is stipulated in the bilateral security agreement. He also emphasized the need for effective cooperation to implement all provisions of the document.

Among the main issues discussed during the meeting are the country’s urgent defense needs and the necessary assistance to equip new brigades.

Pevkur announced a new military package for the needs of the Defense Forces before the start of winter. In particular, it will include uniforms for Ukrainian soldiers.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the possibilities of the Estonian side to finance the production of long-range drones in Ukraine, as well as the importance of the voice of Estonia and all the Baltic countries in support of Ukraine’s accession to the EU and NATO.

Zelenskyi and Pevkur also discussed the implementation of the Victory Plan, which Estonia unconditionally supports.
