The role of Indiana Jones is played by the inimitable Harrison Ford. This time, the archaeologist will have to go in pursuit of a relic that was stolen from him directly from his university. During the search, Indy meets a girl, Gina, an Italian journalist who has set out on a journey in search of her sister. Of course, where there are relics, there are Nazis, German archaeologist Emmerich Wask is also interested in the search for the missing artifact.

The game’s locations offer a number of countries that Jones will visit during his quest. Hot deserts, tropical jungles and snow-capped mountains can be seen in the presentation. It is known for certain that in one of the chapters of Indiana Jones will visit the kingdom of Siam (now we know it as Thailand), as well as Egypt.

Regarding the gameplay elements in the presentation, the most attention was paid to solving puzzles. In solving each puzzle, the player will be helped by information from the journal, which he collected while exploring the location. The developers assure that all the puzzles are seamlessly woven into the story so as not to disrupt its pace. They range from small mysteries to grandiose secrets that can be a real challenge for the player to uncover.

Another interesting element in the puzzles was the hint system: the player can take a picture of any puzzle element, and Jones will give advice on what to do with it. Recall that we previously talked about a recent update in God of War: Ragnarok, where the developers added the ability to turn off annoying hints from companions when solving puzzles.

Bethesda showed 15 minutes of gameplay of the new Indiana Jones gamePlatforming became an equally important component of the game. It is interesting that it takes place in two camera modes: from the first person and from the third. Moreover, the game switches to the back view only at moments when Jones needs to climb a wall or jump over a chasm with a whip.

Jones also actively uses the element of the environment in platforming. For example, the presentation shows that the player can stick a spear into a wall to use it as a crossbar and overcome an obstacle.

An archaeologist will often have to enter a protected area, and here there is nowhere without stealth. The player will be able to use disguise, dressing up as representatives of various professions, for example, in the presentation, Jones tried on the image of a priest. In each disguise, you will need to act out the appropriate behavior, but even so especially observant enemies can reveal the conspiracy.

If Jones has betrayed himself, then you will have to wave your fists. The developers describe the combat system as rather tactical, you need to correctly build your position and actively use the environment. And indeed, from the fights in the video, you can see that the fights are very leisurely, and the enemies are disabled in literally one or two accurate hits, just like Indy. According to general impressions from the presentation, the combat system of the game resembles the Dishonored series.

In addition, the game has many improvements for the character. Yes, if Jones still misses the fatal blow, he can raise his hat with the last strength and get another chance to play back in front of the enemy.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is scheduled for release on December 9. The game will be available on PC and Xbox Series, including Xbox Game Pass. Indiana Jones will visit Playstation 5 in the spring of 2025.

We recently covered Kingdom Come’s first live gameplay: Deliverance 2. The developers from Warhorse Studios held a two-hour stream about the expected sequel.
