STALKER 2 game may be banned in the Russian Federation – rosZMIThe State Duma of the Russian Federation is considering the possibility of banning the STALKER 2 game due to the support of the ZSU developers. The game STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl may be banned on the territory of the Russian Federation due to the fact that the developer studio GSC Game World supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is not excluded that the players of the game will be able to be prosecuted under the articles of extremism, justification of terrorism, etc. Anton Gorelkin, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, told one of rosZMI about this, reports UNN.

I believe that STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has every chance to be officially banned in Russia. I don’t think it will happen based on the fact that the developers of the video game support the ZSU. But I do not rule out that if after its release illegal information is found in the game content (extremism, justification of terrorism, incitement of international enmity, etc.), the strictest measures will be taken

The deputy added that if prohibited information is found in the game, then in this case responsibility may await those who are found to be involved in the dissemination of this information.

Lawyers emphasize that criminal punishment can await even buyers of the game.

We will remind

The release of the game is scheduled for November 20, 2024. “STALKER 2” will be available for gamers on PC and Xbox.
